I’ve never been happier to have burned through most of the top teams in my quest to remain unbeaten in survivor pool, because the upsets are starting to pop up and an alarming rate and we’re high-stepping right over them.
In Week 7, three of my top-five survivor picks took losses, but thanks to the Seattle Seahawks’ win over the Arizona Cardinals, my top pick once again made it through.
This week, Arizona plays against someone we’ve already used, so we’ll have to look elsewhere to stay unbeaten. Fortunately, I have just the team.
Before we get to Week 8, here’s a look at where things stand:
Record: 7-0
Already used: Ravens, Bills, Chiefs, 49ers, Dolphins, Rams, Seahawks

Detroit Lions (vs. Las Vegas Raiders)

The Lions shouldn’t have a problem bouncing back from an ugly loss to Baltimore with a Monday night game against the Raiders. But they won’t get my top spot until I see them actually do it.

Philadelphia Eagles (at Washington Commanders)

Because I’ve already used the next two teams on this list, it was either No. 1 or No. 4 for the Eagles, and I ultimately went with No. 4 because Washington always plays them tough. Though I believe the Eagles will win, it’s hard to forget they needed OT to beat the Commanders in Week 4.

Kansas City Chiefs (at Denver Broncos)

Not only should the Chiefs win this game, they should score a ton of points in the process. But with a game against the Miami Dolphins looming next week, it’s possible they overlook their division rivals. So No. 3 feels right.

The Ravens won’t look as good as they did against the Lions last week, because that’s hard to replicate and the Cardinals aren’t a team players get hyped up to play. But even if they sleepwalk through this one, they should win easily.

Los Angeles Chargers (vs. Chicago Bears)

OK. Let’s take a deep breath, because we’re rolling with the Chargers. I don’t care if they’re playing the Bears with a backup quarterback. Putting your faith in the Chargers is never a good idea, especially when they’re coming off two straight losses. But if there was ever a game for them to get back on track, this is the one. Keep your fingers crossed.
