Dan Hurley has one thing on his mind: UConn and UConn men’s basketball only. After winning another championship on Monday night, he effectively shut down any rumors that he might land elsewhere.
When John Calipari reportedly hooked up with the Arkansas Razorbacks to get out of a tense relationship with Kentucky, there were questions about who would replace him. Fans and pundits generated a quick list of viable candidates. They also created memes along the way about how the Wildcats would convince a top choice, like UConn head coach Dan Hurley, to leave their employer. On Monday, Hurley was asked if UConn having so many resources dedicated to his success dispelled any rumors that he might leave the Huskies for another job opening.
Here’s what he told the media:
“I don’t think that’s a concern. You know my wife — You should have her answer that. She’ll answer that question better than I can.”
