No. 7 seed Nevada and No. 11 seed Loyola will face off Thursday in one of the NCAA tournament south region’s Sweet 16 games – just like everyone predicted, right?
Through the teams’ unexpected surges into regional semifinal, stars among their fan bases emerged.
Sister Jean is the 98-year-old chaplain for Loyola’s team who inspires the players before each game. Mariah Musselman is the 8-year-old daughter of Nevada coach Eric Musselman and his wife, Danyelle Sargent Musselman, and cameras captured her wonderfully perfect reaction to the Wolf Pack upsetting No. 2 Cincinnati after trailing by 22 points with about 11 minutes left.
But their teams playing each other in the Sweet 16 didn’t stop these two newfound stars from meeting each other in Atlanta and taking an adorable photo together, which Danyelle posted on Instagram.
The Ramblers and Wolf Pack will tip off Thursday at 7:07 p.m. ET on CBS.
