Dyaisha Fair is a HOOPER, and fans of the senior guard believe that more people should be talking about her accomplishments. Fair is now fifth all-time on the NCAA scoring list after surpassing Brittney Griner on Sunday.
Remember when I started saying earlier this season that other phenomenal players in women’s basketball deserve to be recognized beside Caitlin Clark, like JuJu Watkins, Lauryn Taylor and Alissa Pili? That’s no slight to Clark — she’s a DAWG — but women’s hoops fans are growing increasingly frustrated with the lack of coverage and are clamoring for players like Dyaisha Fair to get their flowers, too.
After bypassing Griner, even the Syracuse Women’s basketball team and Fair had to tweet a reminder to celebrate the accomplishment.
.@DyaishaFair moves to 5th all-time on the NCAA DI scoring list after getting this tough bucket! 🔥#NCAAWBB x 🎥 ACCNX / @CuseWBB pic.twitter.com/EZ2yDMydUT

Here’s what fans had to say about the lack of media coverage for Fair:
We need to recognize greatness in our midst. @DyaishaFair, it’s a pleasure watching you play. @Cuse Let’s go Orange! pic.twitter.com/wZkNdfykeu

A tremendous athlete that’s not getting talked about enough. What an honor to witness greatness the last two seasons at SU. @DyaishaFair https://t.co/KXGFZOkfmk

Hey @NCAA check facts before publishing articles. No love for Dyaisha Fair in this article and no mention of moving up to 5th all time on your website?? Unreal. https://t.co/hXdl9Q8tka

dyaisha fair moved into 5th all-time today to seemingly little fan-*fair*
some will argue it's less meaningful because she's in her 5th year. but, (1) i do not care, and (2) if we want to nitpick, it's her 149th game. she passed brittney griner, who played 148. https://t.co/lMgAVsa3VI

Dyaisha Fair has been mostly ignored all season because Caitlin has sucked up all the attention from the media on her way to the #1 scoring record.
Both are amazing and we can/should be celebrating both! https://t.co/s0idkS4q1s

if @espn doesn’t post about Dyaisha Fair entering the top 5 all time list by tonight when does that start becoming a dialogue? Caitlin Clark is doing amazing things and has earned every bit of her coverage, but zero national coverage for Fair doesn’t seem very fair…

The fifth-most points in NCAA WBB history for Dyaisha Fair!!
Sometimes I don’t think we wrap our heads around what we’re watching. One of the best to EVER do it

Dyaisha Fair’s place on the all-time scoring list has really been overshadowed by Caitlin Clark’s pursuit to #1 and she can possibly move up even higher by season’s end. Big congrats to her, she’s a bucket 🪣🔥 https://t.co/o4HWZVPqG5

Really crazy to me Dyaisha Fair not really getting the media coverage she deserves. The young lady just passed BG on the scoring list! She’s a PTP’er!!

The whole basketball world needs to know the name Dyaisha Fair. What she’s doing for this ’Cuse women’s basketball team is incredible! https://t.co/ogsMiI7zgj

Where’s the headlines??? Why no one talking about her as the alleged best college player of all time??? https://t.co/tuvdQownHG

Unfortunately we know this won't get the national coverage it deserves. But it is clearly getting a lot of local coverage because I woke up to a text from my Mom about it. So I love that ❤️ https://t.co/GKSmfuyiaF
