7 of the most outlandish outfits golfers have worn at the Masters

It should come as no surprise that a course as steeped in tradition as Augusta National has a very strict dress code. Even patrons strolling the course during the Masters are advised what not to wear on the grounds, and while it may sound a bit ambiguous, there’s no denying the intent:

“Appropriate clothing/shoes should be worn at all times,” per the Masters. “Golf shoes with metal spikes are not permitted.”

This is not the type of place where you challenge those rules at all. Unless, of course, you’re invited to play in the tournament. Then it seems you can get away with plenty of wild clothing options. Over the years, Augusta National has seen plenty of pros test the boundaries of fashion.

These are just some of the looks we’ll never forget.
