Scottie Scheffler is a Masters champion. Again.
The No. 1 golfer in the world reaffirmed his status with a dominant run through Augusta National this week, taking a Saturday lead and surging ahead on Sunday to finish 11-under-par.
He entered the week with odds that reminded many of Tiger Woods’ prime and became the first pre-tournament favorite to win the Masters since Woods in 2005.

It all seemed inevitable after Scheffler made it through Amen Corner with a three-stroke lead that ballooned to four by the time he finished on No. 18.
Which gave CBS’ play-by-play voice Jim Nantz to work up another one of his iconic calls.

Well done, Jim Nantz.
