Fantasy football waiver wire: Should you keep or cut these 6 players ahead of Week 9 in 2023?

You’re waking up on Tuesday reading all that you can about the players that you should be picking up off the waiver wire as you prepare for Week 9 of fantasy football in 2023.

But it’s likely there aren’t as many things written about who you should be dropping to grab those players. That’s what this weekly column — keep ’em or dump ’em! — will hopefully answer for you: Some help in the debate over who you should keep or drop in order to improve your team.

With injuries piling up, the waiver wire is key, so let’s dive in to help you with who to keep or drop.

Despite the fact that a Christian McCaffrey or Elijah Mitchell injury would open things up for him, he’s had no work the last two weeks.

VERDICT: Drop him

He’s been pretty bad the last four weeks. I’d say it’s safe to drop him in exchange for a higher-upside QB option.

He’s dropped to second on the depth chart with Javonte Williams getting a lot of work. I’d still hang on to him in case Williams gets hurt.

VERDICT: Keep him

Alvin Kamara is back and Taysom Hill is getting carries. I’d say the situation is the same as above. If there’s an injury …

Just TWO carries last week? After getting seven the week before? NOPE.

VERDICT: Drop him

Yes, Kirk Cousins is out for the season. But whoever takes over might want to keep the passes short. And Osborn could end up with decent volume.

VERDICT: Keep him
