NFL playoff power rankings: Every team's playoff chances entering Week 8

We’re approaching the halfway mark on the 2019 NFL regular season, and the real Super Bowl contenders are starting to separate themselves from the pack. The Patriots and 49ers both won on the road in Week 7 to remain undefeated, but the Saints and Packers are keeping pace in the wide-open NFC.

To determine which teams have the best chance of making the playoffs in 2019, we crunched the numbers from the most recent playoff models from three major outlets – ESPN FPI, Football Outsiders, and Five Thirty Eight. Each team is ranked in order of their average projected chance to qualify for the playoffs. We’ve also included each team’s Super Bowl chances, according to the models.

BIG WINNERS FROM WEEK 7:

Cowboys: The Cowboys destroyed the Eagles in prime time, and took control of the NFC East in the process.

Vikings: Kirk Cousins threw for four touchdowns in a shootout win over divisional rival Detroit. While the Vikings are still behind the Packers in the NFC North, Minnesota is in a prime Wild Card spot. .

BIG LOSERS FROM WEEK 7:

Eagles: The Eagles had the biggest single-week drop in playoff percentage, plunging 24.5 percent after a blowout loss to the Cowboys. A Week 8 matchup at Buffalo is an absolute must-win for Philadelphia.

Seahawks: Seattle’s loss on Sunday was only the team’s second all year, but the result dropped the Seahawks’ playoff chances by 20 percent.
