We’re just over a month away from playoff football in the NFL, but Week 14 will deliver a few potential playoff previews, as the Bills will face off against the Super Bowl favorite Ravens, while in the NFC the Saints will host the 49ers.
To determine which teams have the best chance of making the playoffs in 2019, we crunched the numbers from the most recent playoff models from three major outlets – ESPN FPI, Football Outsiders, and Five Thirty Eight. Each team is ranked in order of their average projected chance to qualify for the playoffs. We’ve also included each team’s Super Bowl chances, according to the models, and each contender’s chance of winning their own division.
BIG WINNER FROM WEEK 13:
Steelers: The Steelers crushed the Browns’ slim playoff hopes with a rivalry win in Week 13, and Pittsburgh is still very much in the hunt in the AFC Wild Card race.
BIG LOSER FROM WEEK 13:
Colts: The Colts have lost four of their last five games, and their playoff chances have plummeted to just 10.9%. Our NFL expert Steven Ruiz says it’s time for Indianapolis to trade for a quarterback.
