The NASCAR Cup Series returns to Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday afternoon, and Chase Elliott will start from pole position as he tries to win his second race of the season.
There will be no practice session or qualifying session at Atlanta on Sunday, per NASCAR’s new protocol to limit activities at the track during the coronavirus pandemic. To determine the order, charter teams were split into three groups based on owner points (1 through 12, 13 through 24 and 25-36), and teams were then assigned a position in a random draw. Positions 37-40 were filled by non-charter teams in order of owner points.
The 2020 Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 will begin at 3:00 p.m. ET on FOX.
