MLB career earnings leaders: The 25 highest paid baseball players of all time

Baseball superstars are capable of landing the biggest contracts in sports, as the lack of a salary cap in MLB allows for jaw-dropping deals. Which All-Stars have earned the most money in MLB history so far? The career money list, via Spotrac, may surprise you.

Note that this list tracks current career earnings, not future earnings. Mike Trout and Bryce Harper will one day be near the very top of this list, but they haven’t yet been paid the vast majority of their respective megadeals. Harper, for example, is currently 150th all-time in career earnings at $82.35 million per Spotrac, just behind Michael Cuddyer. Trout is 80th at $117.35 million.

Alex Rodriguez’s lead at the top is massive. Rodriguez is clear of second place by more than $150 million. For reference, only 38 other players in MLB history have career earnings above $150 million.
