The end of the NBA regular season is only six weeks away, and while the Bucks and Lakers have separated themselves from the field and emerged as clear NBA title favorites, the battle for positions two through eight in both conferences could go down to the final game.
In the West, just 4.5 games separate the current No. 2 seed (Denver) from the No. 7 seed (Dallas), and several teams currently outside playoff position are within range to make a late-season charge for the 8th seed. Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson has been brilliant since his return, but can he help lead New Orleans into the playoffs? Ja Morant’s Grizzlies currently hold the 8th seed, but five other teams are within 4.5 games.
The East isn’t as closely contested, but the Raptors and Celtics are locked in a battle for the No. 2 seed, and the underperforming Sixers are fighting with the Heat and Pacers for seeds four through six.
Here are all the current 2020 NBA playoff matchups as of February 27th.
