The 2019 NFL combine had a major impact on draft boards around the country, and there are some new faces inside the consensus top 10 as draft day nears.
To get an idea of every projected first-round player’s draft stock, we took seven 2019 mock drafts from around the internet – the latest revisions from USA TODAY, Draftwire, CBS Sports, Bleacher Report, ESPN’s Todd McShay and Mel Kiper Jr., and our own at FTW – and found each player’s average draft position.
A total of 49 different players appeared as first round selections, up from 44 prior to the combine. If a player was left out of one of the mock drafts, he was assigned a value of 33 for each absence to determine his draft average. In the event of a tie, the player with the most appearances in the first round was given the advantage.
Five different experts predict that Kyler Murray will be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 Draft, which dropped top prospects Nick Bosa, Quinnen Williams and Josh Allen down one slot on most boards.
The biggest winners from the combine? Iowa tight end T.J. Hockenson wasn’t a first-rounder back in January, but he may have become a lock for the top-15 in Indianapolis. He improved 15 spots from our last consensus big board, more than any other player. Florida offensive lineman Jawaan Taylor jumped 11 spots to an average position of 9.1, making himself the top offensive line prospect.
The biggest losers? Clemson’s Clelin Ferrell was projected to go inside the top 10 in the months leading up to the combine, but he dropped 11 spots on the board to fall to the back half of the first round. Florida’s Jachai Polite may have crashed out of the first round entirely after a horrible combine showing.
Here are the top 32 players in the 2019 NFL Draft, according to the internet:
