After a start to the 2023-24 PGA Tour season that saw pre-tournament triple-digit long-shots winning seemingly every tournament, Scottie Scheffler has emerged as the golfer to beat, finishing top 17 in all eight events he’s played in and winning twice.
As a result, he’s entered this week’s Masters tournament with +400 odds to win at BetMGM sportsbooks, the shortest odds since Tiger Woods was +350 all the back in 2013, according to the Sports Odds History database.
Scheffler has won a Masters back in 2022, and last year finished tied for 10th. He is the ticket leader (8.1 percent) and also has the most total dollars wagered on him to win the tournament (18.7 percent) at BetMGM sportsbooks, as of Monday afternoon.
