The 2024 Masters tournament is winding down, which means you’re probably wondering about the important things like what’s with the bird sounds on the course, how to pronounce Ludvig Åberg’s name, and the granddaddy of them all — how much money does the Masters winner take home?

In my humble opinion, the best moments at the Masters are not on the course. It’s the green jacket ceremony afterward, with the sometimes awkward exchanges and trophy presentation. But if you’re like me, you also might be wondering about something else: how much money does the winner take home when all that hoopla is over?
According to Ryan Herrington at Golf Digest, the tournament likely won’t announce this year’s purse until a cut is made, but it’s expected to be around $18 million. That’s the same amount it was when Jon Rahm won in 2023. Rahm ultimately went home with $3.24 million for his win, and the remaining portion was shared and distributed in increments depending on where a player finished.
