Some dunks are so shocking, so powerful, so devoid of all logic that they can’t help but leave all witnesses speechless.
Alabama’s Grant Nelson had one of those dunks on Saturday night during a Final Four battle with UConn.
Faced with likely NBA lottery pick Donovan Clingan standing between him and the hoop, Nelson gathered the ball and skied over the 7-foot-2 big man in transition and unleashed a dunk that had even his own Crimson Tide teammates shaken to their core.
Alabama’s Mark Sears, in particular, had a close-up view of the dunk and seemingly struggled to comprehend what just happened.

Presumably, Sears has seen Nelson throw down all sorts of dunks in games and practice. For this one to elicit such a reaction should be all the proof you need that Nelson did something special.
