Despite a loss to Purdue in the Final Four, NC State big man DJ Burns showed tremendous pride for their accomplishments.
Burns, who was held to limited minutes and productivity due to foul trouble while defending Purdue’s Zach Edey, finished with 8 points and 1 rebound in the contest.
He was asked about the classy way that he and his teammates handled themselves after the loss. But the big man, who gave college basketball fans such an incredibly exciting run of victories during March Madness, gave an exceptional answer.

Here is what he told reporters following the defeat:
“Ain’t no reason to be upset. We didn’t hit shots we normally would hit … It’s not like it was a situation where we came out and we just didn’t play well and just let them dominate us. We just didn’t hit shots and they did, unfortunately.”
Burns made sure to do his press conference in front of the team picture in the locker room, which was a cool move by the big man.
