Most fans might think deciding to turn pro is a no-brainer, but when you’re a college basketball star like Caitlin Clark or Cameron Brink, going to the WNBA and leaving your friends, comfort zone and memories behind can be challenging.
There’s been a lot of speculation about the future of women’s college basketball. Will top players decide to return for another year like UConn’s Paige Bueckers? Or will they forego remaining eligibility for a chance at making a name for themselves in the WNBA? There isn’t a quick resolution to a decision that could change the course of a life.
