7 delicious things Tom Brady can eat now that he's retiring and can enjoy life a little more

Congratulations to Tom Brady, who is finally hanging up his cleats and calling it a career.

I have some advice for the GOAT, though: It’s time to live it up.

Seriously! We all know you love the TB12 method, the strict diet and making sure you hydrate a ton and all that.

And yeah, I know that keeping that up in retirement is a way to continue to promote the TB12 brand, which will no doubt be a part of your new, non-NFL life.

But … come on. Go celebrate now that you don’t need to be so darn liable. Here are some ideas:

1
Strawberries

He did it on The Late Show in 2018!

2
Real ice cream

None of that avocado “ice cream” stuff that we’ve heard about for years. Grab a pint of Ben & Jerry’s and go to town.

3
Less water

Dude drinks like 37 glasses of water a day. Just cut that down a bit! Even like 20 is more than enough!

4
An eggplant parm hero

Mr. “I don’t eat nightshades or gluten or dairy,” you’ve got to get back to the basics. Heck, I’ll even spot you the multi-grain roll to make it healthier. But nightshades are delicious, especially combined together and topped with mozzarella. That, right there, is the most anti-TB12 thing you can eat in one bite. You will not regret it.

5
Stuffed mushrooms

The fun guy didn’t eat fungi for a while. Smother ’em in breadcrumbs. Yum.

6
Pizza and cheeseburgers

He’s actually eaten those over the years! From Mass Live:

During an appearance on The Adam Schefter Podcast, [trainer Alex] Guerrero explained that even Brady’s famously strict diet comes with some exceptions. …

“He loves pizza and I would say that he loves a really great cheeseburger,” Guerrero said.

Guerrero, Brady’s TB12 business partner, says that their strategy in treating injuries goes beyond their famous principles of hydration and pliability. He says that the’s a significant emotional aspect to their diet regiment.

That means sometimes nurturing people in the program with “emotion foods.” Not even Brady is immune to it, especially when the quarterback sustains a major injury.
