Raiders fans couldn't be happier that Josh McDaniels and GM Dave Ziegler were fired

Well, Raider Nation, you got your wish.

Early on Wednesday morning — more sports news, overnight? Sheesh! — the Las Vegas Raiders relieved head coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler of their duties. Linebackers coach Antonio Pierce will assume the interim head coach position, and current assistant GM Champ Kelly will take over in the front office.

After Monday’s disastrous loss to the Detroit Lions that included an extremely frustrated Davante Adams, the clock was obviously ticking. But a move this quick is pretty wild considering McDaniels was hired just last season and had coached 25 games (although a 9-16 record isn’t going to cut it).
