The Wanamaker Trophy — given to the winner of the PGA Championship, which was won by Collin Morikawa on Sunday — should come with a temporary label on it.
“WARNING: THE TOP COMES OFF THIS THING!” it should read. Or maybe Rory McIlroy should warn winners every year since he helped save the top of the trophy in 2014.
Morikawa was the latest to see the top comes off of the trophy as the 23-year-old phenom raised it up to celebrate his first major, and he panicked a bit as he watched the scene unfold.
