Where to watch the February 2022 Nintendo Direct
As usual with video game streams, the two main platforms for this stream will be YouTube and Twitch, with YouTube getting both US and UK English language versions of the presentation. Fun fact: the UK presentation often prefers to use Japanese dialogue with subtitles, while the US version usually overdubs all dialogue in the presentation.
What to expect in the February 2022 Nintendo Direct
This is a tough one. Nintendo does have several games in the works that we know of, including Metroid Prime 4, Bayonetta 3, Kirby and the Forgotten Lands, and of course The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild‘s sequel. Kirby is coming soon, so that seems like a safe bet, while seeing anything from the other games could be a complete coin toss.
Elsewhere rumors have circulated about both a new Mario Kart and a sequel to 1-2-Switch. Industry insiders teased only yesterday that 2022 was set to be a full year for Nintendo, and this presentation seems to confirm that we’ll hear much more about what we can expect very soon.
Having said that, this presentation is set to be primarily focused on games launching in the first half of 2022. Kirby caps off that line-up of games in May, and it’ll be very interesting to see what else we might get before that.
