The 2023-24 NHL season is finally here, and for some players, they’ll be entering the year with the honored symbol of leadership on their jersey: A “C” for captain.
Not every team has a captain, and that’s fine — it could mean the franchise is waiting for a leader to emerge, or that the locker room works just fine without one standout voice at the top.
