The NFL offseason is mostly over, with only a few key free agents left on the market, and teams’ rosters coming together post-NFL Draft.
So now is a perfect time to put down some money on whether teams will make the postseason or not.
We got our smartest NFL minds together to predict one side of the “playoffs, yes or no” bet for all 32 teams. The results? Yes, it’s pretty obvious to bet either side on certain teams, but as we know in the NFL, there are surprises you can’t predict before the games are played.

1
Arizona Cardinals: Yes -130, No +110

Quinn Harris-USA TODAY Sports
Prince J. Grimes: No
They have a disgruntled quarterback, a suspended No. 1 wide receiver and a head coach potentially on the hot seat. This team has too many question marks for me to trust.
Christian D’Andrea: No
With DeAndre Hopkins in the lineup, Arizona could have rushed out to its typical hot start before Kliff Kingsbury’s annual late-season slide. Instead, he’s suspended for six games and a mediocre September/October won’t provide a chance to back into the playoffs.
Robert Zeglinski: No
DeAndre Hopkins has been carrying Kliff Kingsbury for two years now, and that hasn’t even netted the Cards a single playoff win. This team is toast without D-Hop. Arizona probably needs a new brain trust if they’re going to win anything with Kyler Murray.
2
Atlanta Falcons: Yes +550, No -847
Prince: No
There’s something coming together here with Kyle Pitts, Drake London and Desmond Ridder. But I don’t see them making much noise this year with Marcus Mariota under center.
Christian: No
C’mon.
Robert: No
Actually, you know, if Marcus Mariota can do this —
Lol, I should stop myself. Atlanta’s one of the worst teams in the league.
3
Baltimore Ravens: Yes -130, No +105
Prince: Yes
The Ravens, not the Bengals, were on track to win the AFC North before injuries crushed the roster. Healthy again, I expect Baltimore to return as contenders.
Christian: Yes
Baltimore will compete for the AFC North title and have an great opportunity to snag a Wild Card spot with a healthy roster loaded with young, hungry contributors.
Robert: Yes
The combination of a motivated Lamar Jackson and their great 2022 Draft makes me think the Ravens are destined for the AFC title game. At minimum.
4
Buffalo Bills: Yes -500, No +350
Prince: Yes
Josh Allen has officially arrived and the AFC East is his division to lose.
Christian: Yes
It will take multiple devastating injuries to keep Buffalo from a fourth-straight postseason appearance.
Robert: Yes
I have never typed three letters faster. Buffalo’s going to molly whop everyone they play. Next.
5
Carolina Panthers: Yes +480, No -699
Prince: No
This team has no real direction right now.
Christian: No
The starting quarterback is either Sam Darnold or Matt Corral. I think the Panthers will be better than last season, but that’s a low bar to clear.
Robert: No
Can someone free Christian McCaffrey and D.J. Moore from Football Purgatory? Anyone?
6
Chicago Bears: Yes +300, No -400

Quinn Harris-USA TODAY Sports
Prince: No
Justin Fields has yet another coach and system to learn, and not many weapons. This is a growing year for Chicago.
Christian: No
A lack of cap space led to a lack of blocking and weapons for Justin Fields. Poor, poor Justin Fields.
Robert: No
I was almost tempted (sobbing) to slot the Bears in (sobbing) in a beyond-weak NFC. But, they have two-ish NFL caliber receivers — Darnell Mooney and Byron Pringle — and no one else. (sigh)
7
Cincinnati Bengals: Yes -140, No +110
Prince: Yes
I don’t think anything about last season was fluke for the Bengals. As long as they have Joe Burrow and those receivers, this is a hard team to beat.
Christian: Yes
Cincinnati used the savings created by Burrow’s bargain contract and poured it into last year’s weaknesses (offensive line, secondary). They should be even better in 2022.
Robert: Yes
That disastrous OL should be fixed and Joe Burrow cements himself as a top-five quarterback.
8
Dallas Cowboys: Yes -300, No +230
Prince: No
I think the loss of Amari Cooper is going to be bigger than people realize, and the defense will take a step back too after forcing an absurdly large amount of turnovers last season.
Christian: Yes
The Eagles might give them a scare in the NFC East, but the division is still theirs to lose.
Robert: Yes
On paper, Dallas has enough talent to win the NFC East almost by default. My questions with them concern what happens in January, not getting to January.
9
Denver Broncos: Yes -150, No +125
Prince: Yes
All they needed last season was a quarterback. They have that now in Russell Wilson, who should unlock this offense.
Christian: Yes
Russ is gonna cook. It’ll be fun.
Robert: Yes
Is Nathaniel Hackett actually Pete “I Can Never Pass The Ball On First Down” Carroll? No? Okay. Yeah, they’re good.
10
Detroit Lions: Yes +400, No -599

(AP Photo/Jae C. Hong )
Prince: Yes
That’s right, I’m picking the Lions to make the playoffs. Call me crazy, but this team played hard last season and lost a lot of close games. They added some great young talent this offseason and I think they grab a Wild Card.
Christian: No
The Lions will be better than they were in 2021, but Jared Goff remains quarterback and an improved roster still lags behind the rest of the NFC.
Robert: No
Detroit has good pieces, could be a force soon, and is already back in the league’s poor graces. But Goff is their quarterback. A deeply unserious team, for now.
11
Green Bay Packers: Yes -450, No +330
Prince: Yes
At some point, simply having Aaron Rodgers won’t be enough. But we’re not there yet. And this defense should be pretty solid too.
Christian: Yes
They’ve got the reigning MVP, a defense loaded with former first round picks, and an easy path to yet another NFC North crown.
Robert: Yes
Their division is a cakewalk and Rodgers is still humming along — though for how much longer, who knows?
12
Houston Texans: Yes +1000, No -3030
Prince: No
There simply isn’t enough talent on this roster yet.
Christian: No
Far be it from me to doubt Lovie Smith, but this isn’t a very good team.
Robert: No
Quick. Name one player on the current Texans roster off the top of your head. One name. Any name. I’ll wait.
13
Indianapolis Colts: Yes -160, No +130
Prince: Yes
A quarterback with a little more composure would’ve had this team playoff-bound last season. Matt Ryan’s arm isn’t what it used to be but he won’t make the costly mistakes Carson Wentz did.
Christian: No
The Colts have a very nice roster but someone’s gotta miss the playoffs in a stacked AFC.
Robert: No
I love Matt Ryan! Greatest QB in Falcons history! But … Indy’s in too tough of a conference for him to enjoy a fun second act of his career.
14
Jacksonville Jaguars: Yes +400, No -599
Prince: No
They’re headed in the right direction after giving Urban Meyer the boot, but still not a playoff team.
Christian: No
Let’s just be thankful Urban Meyer is gone and move on.
Robert: No
Unless Trent Baalke goes too, Trevor Lawrence could be Prime Johnny Unitas and this team isn’t going anywhere.
15
Kansas City Chiefs: Yes -220, No +170

(Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)
Prince: Yes
They don’t have a stranglehold on the AFC West anymore, but the Chiefs should still be able to snag a Wild Card at the very least.
Christian: Yes
Losing Tyreek Hill hurts, but Kansas City reloaded responsibly. Now the Chiefs have to home Patrick Mahomes’ 2021 backslide was an outlier and not a trend.
Robert: Yes
They won’t give up the AFC belt without a fight. Wait, they kind of already did? Correction: They won’t give up the AFC West without a fight. I’ll doubt Pat Mahomes and Andy Reid when they give me a reason to.
16
Las Vegas Raiders: Yes +185, No -230
Prince: No
Every team in this division can’t make the playoffs, can they?
Christian: No
The defense remains a problem. So does the blocking.
Robert: No
Derek Carr and Davante Adams could combine for 30-plus touchdowns and I’d still doubt the Raiders’ legitimacy.
17
Los Angeles Rams: Yes -250, No +200
Prince: Yes
The Super Bowl champs are still very formidable and won’t be easily dethroned.
Christian: Yes
Not much has changed for the reigning champions. One injury may be all it takes to derail a top-heavy team, however, so there’s value in the “no” bet.
Robert: Yes
L.A. lost Von Miller and Odell Beckham Jr. and replaced them with Bobby Wagner and Allen Robinson. C’mon. They’re playing a different sport.
18
Miami Dolphins: Yes +140, No -170
Prince: No
I think the Dolphins are right there on the cusp of a Wild Card again, as they have been for several years now. But it remains to be seen if Tua Tagovailoa is the man to get them over that hump.
Christian: No
This team got better, but the combination of a new head coach and shaky quarterback will lead to 10 wins but no postseason berth because, as previously noted, the AFC is a beast.
Robert: No
I think Mike McDaniel is a solid hire, and the roster’s a lot better. But Tagovailoa might not be The Guy. Talk to me in 2023 when they trade up for Bryce Young.
19
Minnesota Vikings: Yes +105, No -130
Prince: No
Is it fair to call the Vikings the Dolphins of the NFC for the same reason noted above?
Christian: No
I cannot condone a strategy that puts the future of your money in the hands of Kirk Cousins, human-sized bottle of ranch dressing.
Robert: No
Some of the biggest pretenders on this entire list. Kirk Cousins is destined to throw for a gazillion yards and touchdowns every year only to eventually finish 8-9.
20
New England Patriots: Yes +140, No -170

(AP Photo/Joshua Bessex )
Prince: No
Strong West and North divisions means only one team is coming out of the AFC East, and it won’t be the Patriots.
Christian: No
Almost everyone else in the AFC got better. The Patriots added DeVante Parker, Mack Wilson, and an extremely Bill Belichick haul of draftees. I know we never bury New England without seeing a body first, so maybe just avoid this bet altogether.
Robert: No
Yes, I am counting out Bill Belichick. New England’s fighting an uphill battle. Like, a potential top-15 pick battle, too.
21
New Orleans Saints: Yes +150, No -190
Prince: Yes
For as much criticism as Jameis Winston gets, he had this team headed for a playoff berth before a season-ending injury last year. The roster is fine, it just needs decent quarterback play — not a hero.
Christian: Yes
This team went 9-8 last season despite starting Trevor Siemian, Taysom Hill, and Ian Book at quarterback. If Jameis Winston can keep his pre-injury 2021 pace, the Saints will be fine (they also play the Panthers and Falcons four times, which helps).
Robert: No
The NFC is very fragile, but I don’t trust Jameis Winston. Plus, I think that roster’s a bit top-heavy. It’s a rebuilding year in New Orleans.
22
New York Giants: Yes +210, No -270
Prince: No
For the first time in a long time, I’m excited about the direction of the Giants. But there are still too many holes for me to consider this a playoff team.
Christian: No
This year is solely about figuring out what Daniel Jones is and setting up dominoes for the future.
Robert: No
Bless Brian Daboll’s heart. Imagine going from a human Terminator under center to Daniel Jones. I would weep openly.
23
New York Jets: Yes +750, No -1205
Prince: No
The NY Jets are finally trending in the right direction too. But no playoffs yet.
Christian: No
The Jets are better. They aren’t yet good enough. Zach Wilson was the fourth-best quarterback on his own roster last season.
Robert: No
Zach Wilson to Garrett Wilson might be fun but I have to see Zach make a massive jump before I consider the Jets anything more than paper tigers.
24
Philadelphia Eagles: Yes -105, No -115

Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports
Prince: Yes
Especially after picking up A.J. Brown from the Titans, this is the best team in the NFC East. If Jalen Hurts is only marginally better than last season, I think they win it.
Christian: Yes
Philly’s had a stellar offseason and added the pieces needed to finally beat a playoff team (they went 0-8 in such games last year).
Robert: Yes
Jalen Hurts doesn’t have to do it all by himself anymore! Huzzah!
25
Pittsburgh Steelers: Yes +280, No -370
Prince: No
Look at the other quarterbacks in this division, and then look at who the Steelers are rolling out there.
Christian: No
The defense wasn’t up to Pittsburgh standards last season and while a run-heavy approach could mitigate the ongoing grimace behind center, the Steelers likely need a gap year to figure things out.
Robert: No
The Steelers are going to a bold place where no other NFL team has ever gone before. They will throw one of two Mitch Trubiskys (Kenny Pickett and Original Mitch Trubisky) at everyone they play. Bold strategy. Beware: Pittsburgh.
26
San Francisco 49ers: Yes -220, No +175
Prince: Yes
This is one of the tougher picks for me because we just don’t know what their plan is at quarterback, how good Trey Lance is or if he’ll even have Deebo Samuel to work with. But the roster is solid.
Christian: Yes
If everyone stays healthy, the Niners make the playoffs. That’s pretty much their whole identity in the Kyle Shanahan/John Lynch era. Competence occasionally undone by luck.
Robert: Yes
One of these days Kyle Shanahan’s going to get over that hump and get himself a ring. Maybe Trey Lance is the man to do it.
27
Seattle Seahawks: Yes +400, No -599
Prince: No
This might be Seattle’s worst season in a long time.
Christian: No
Seattle doesn’t want to make the playoffs. It wants to be very bad with Drew Lock behind center and snap up one of 2023’s franchise rookie quarterbacks.
Robert: No
Pete Carroll’s about to see what life is like without Russell Wilson. SPOILER: It’s not pretty.
28
Tampa Bay Buccanneers: Yes -649, No +425

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports
Prince: Yes
Tom Brady is back and the roster is still loaded. Oh, and their division is still weak.
Christian: Yes
Never count out Touchdown Tom.
Robert: Yes
Can Brady go away already? (Sigh) See you in late January, man.
29
Tennessee Titans: Yes -115, No -105
Prince: No
How many years can they expect Derrick Henry to hold up and be the lead workhorse? And when he slows down, how much can they rely on Ryan Tannehill, especially without A.J. Brown?
Christian: Yes
The Titans average more than 10 wins per season under Mike Vrabel. Despite some roster shakeups, this looks like a typical Vrabel team.
Robert: Yes
Ryan Tannehill or Malik Willis? Does it matter? No one in Tennessee’s division is good enough to unseat them.
30
Washington Commanders: Yes +180, No -220
Prince: No
Carson Wentz couldn’t get a better team in the playoffs in an almost equally weak division last year.
Christian: No
lol they traded for Carson Wentz.
Robert: Yes
I’ll tell you one thing: They will definitely not Command my attention this season. But again: The NFC is terrible. The not-so-rare non-playoff, playoff team.
31
Los Angeles Chargers: Yes -160, No +125
Prince: Yes
I love the Chargers’ offseason. This squad is loaded and Justin Herbert looks ready to take the next step.
Christian: Yes
LA took the savings from Justin Herbert’s rookie contract and invested them into star defensive players and keeping the team’s receiving corps intact. A breakthrough is imminent.
Robert: Yes
J.C. Jackson might honestly break the single-season picks record (14) with Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa in front of him, and Derwin James as his partner-in-crime. Oh, yeah, that Herbert fella’s pretty good, too, I guess.
32
Cleveland Browns -- Off the board for now but we'll predict it anyway
Prince: No
Even once Deshaun Watson returns from whatever suspension he gets, he will not have played in well over a year.
Christian: No
Not without Watson they won’t — and he’s staring down a lengthy, deserved suspension.
Robert: No
I thought they were iffy even with Watson. He’s rightfully missing many, many games so you do the math.
