The 9 best NBA free agents remaining on the 2022 offseason market

The NBA free agency frenzy in the 2022 NBA offseason is mostly over, with so many names inking contracts, including some sneaky-good deals.

But there are a few intriguing names still out there who could be good to grab as we move into the “when is Kevin Durant going to get traded, but also Kyrie Irving?” portion of the summer.

The top player? That would be someone presumed to re-sign when — not if –with the contender that traded for him last year.

So let’s run through the names of who’s left, ranked, and we’ll update it as those players eventually sign:

James Harden

He opted out for this season, but that was apparently to help with 76ers roster construction. Sounds like he’ll be back with the franchise soon enough.

The restricted free agent could stay … or he could be sign-and-traded, maybe for Kevin Durant? Hmm!

3
Dennis Schroder

Despite the fact that the Boston Celtics dealt him to the Houston Rockets mid-season, he can still score and dish from off the bench.

4
Collin Sexton

The restricted free agent can score … but will he be worth the price he’ll have to get to either stay in Cleveland or go elsewhere?

5
Eric Bledsoe

I think he’s still got enough in the tank to be a really good signing for a contender.

6
Carmelo Anthony

Dude can still get buckets even at the age of 37. I’d say that’s worth a contract.

7
Montrezl Harrell

Obviously, we can’t talk about him without mentioning the felony drug charges he’s facing.

8
Hassan Whiteside

Chris Nicoll-USA TODAY Sports

We know what he can do, and that’s block shots and rebound. Solid for anyone who needs a big man off the bench.

9
DeMarcus Cousins

Boogie was helpful for the Bucks and Nuggets last season, so I could see a team in need of bench help signing him.
