Mere moments after leading the NC State Wolfpack to their first Final Four appearance since 1983, man of the hour DJ Burns took a quick detour before hitting the locker room.
On Sunday, No. 11 NC State’s Cinderella run through March Madness continued with a big 76-64 upset win over Duke in the Elite Eight. Burns posted 29 points in the win and was instrumental in causing Duke star Kyle Filipowski to foul out with just 11 points scored.
And after helping NC State cut down the net ahead of their Final Four appearance in Phoenix on Saturday, Burns had a classy moment with arena security staff. On his way to the locker room, Burns stopped to take some pictures with American Airlines Center security!
What a class act right there. And college basketball fans thought so as well, as they had nothing but praise for Burns after this moment.
