In recent years, the ManningCast has become a welcome sidebar to ESPN’s Monday Night Football. Fans have come to appreciate how Peyton and Eli Manning interview big NFL names while watching the action live from the perspective of experienced quarterbacks.

Entering the 2023 season, the Manning brothers decided to hold “auditions” for a third ManningCast host. In a mock video courtesy of Omaha Productions, the pair talk to various figures around the league, like Jared Goff, Mike McDaniel, Sean McVay, and Sean Payton. Eventually, they predictably settle on the fact that they’ll just continue on the show together.

Of course, this decision left out their mutual career rival Tom Brady, who sat in the waiting room with a dog, never getting a call to come inside.

It’s 2023, and we’re still getting indirect references to the infamous Manning-Brady rivalry and the Giants beating the Patriots in the Super Bowl twice. You gotta love it.
