Josh Hart's relatable explanation for betting on sports had gamblers feeling seen

Josh Hart posed a question on X (formerly Twitter) Monday night that revealed his apparent participation in a bit of New York-on-New York crime. The Knicks guard was curious whether his prop bet on Green Bay Packers wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks would be voided following his injury.

The Packers were of course playing the New York Giants, and Wicks left the game in the fourth quarter with just two catches for 20 yards. Whatever Hart needed from the rookie, he apparently didn’t get. The bet was likely a loser.

When one X user questioned why Hart even bets, given how much he makes on an NBA salary, Hart had an answer that would make Money Making Mitch proud.

“For the love of the game.” Safe to say Hart gained a few more fans with that response.
