Philadelphia Flyers coach John Tortorella had no intention of leaving the bench on Saturday night after he got ejected by the game’s officiating crew.
During the first period of Philadelphia’s tilt with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Tortorella argued a call with the referees and got sent to the locker room as a result. The coach wasn’t happy about the decision, and he refused to go anywhere after the penalty and continued to argue it with the officials.
Sporting a white cast on his right wrist and forearm, Tortorella eventually relented and left the bench, but not before throwing an epic temper-tantrum in the process.
