The Seahawks didn’t name a starting QB until right before kickoff and NFL fans were so confused

The uncertainty of who would start for the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles sent plenty of frustration out to NFL fans.

With the fantasy football playoffs ongoing, fantasy managers in particular needed a clear answer on whether or not Geno Smith would start for Seattle or if backup quarterback Drew Lock would get starting reps.

The Seahawks listed Smith as active before the game started, and he went through on-field warm-ups before the game. However, the team named Lock as its starter right before kickoff.

NFL fans spent nearly the entire pregame session wondering who would start, and fantasy managers had to hope they made the right call before it was too late to make a swap.

The confusion was real, and the jokes were pretty good.
