Fantasy football waiver wire Week 3: Raheem Mostert, Garrett Wilson are targets

Week 2 of the 2022 NFL season is over. And what a week of football it was!

If you play fantasy football, you’re already planning ahead with waivers after a busy week of games.

That’s what we’re here for, a roundup of some of the players you could be targeting ahead of Week 3.

Some of the names below might be taken already, but if not, there are a bunch of dudes who could change your fantasy fortunes this season. Let’s run through them, in no particular order, and we’ve updated this after the pair of games we saw on Monday Night Football.

1
RB Raheem Mostert, Miami Dolphins

Hmmm. The vet had 51 yards on 11 carries and 28 more on three catches.

Chase Edmonds, meanwhile, had just five carries and one catch on three targets.

So, yes, grabbing Mostert seems like a good idea, even if a timeshare is developing.

2
WR Jahan Dotson, Washington Commanders

We talked about him last week and we’ve got to do it again this week: Dotson scored again this week. He’s clearly a significant part of this offense, one with three productive receivers along with Curtis Samuel and Terry McLaurin.

3
RB Darrel Williams, Arizona Cardinals

If James Conner misses any time due to injury, it looks like the vet is the next man up. But the next guy on the list might be the one who gets more of the high-quality work …

4
RB Eno Benjamin, Arizona Cardinals

He’s oozed upside ever since joining the Cardinals as a seventh-round pick. Maybe this is the start of something big if Conner is injured.

5
WR Garrett Wilson, New York Jets

WOW. He got 14 (!) targets, caught eight of them, two of which were touchdowns.

What’s more: That’s 22 targets in two weeks. Yeah, that’s pretty major.

If you’re like me and you ended up with Cole Kmet at tight end, it may be time to cut him loose and grab the guy who has 82 yards through two weeks and who caught a score on Sunday.

7
TE Isaiah Likely, Baltimore Ravens

After four targets in Week 1 for no catches, he had four receptions for 43 yards. Maybe the sleeper in the preseason is waking up?

8
QB Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers

I know what you’re thinking: In a run-first offense, picking up a QB who also threw 12 picks last year isn’t the best idea.

But maybe having Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk will help. Maybe he’ll be better when George Kittle returns from injury. At the very least, he could be streamable certain weeks?
