ESPN Radio lineup revamped: See the new schedule coming in August

The biggest news to come out of ESPN’s announcement of a new ESPN Radio lineup on Tuesday was that Mike Golic — who has had been part of that lineup for over two decades — wouldn’t have a show (although he’s still reportedly under contract at the Worldwide Leader).

There were also other big changes announced with new shows and pairings/groups — one show will star Golic’s former radio partner — that will be heard through the airwaves, although as ESPN said, everyone in the new lineup is currently on or has previously hosted a show. So let’s review the new schedule that’s set to begin on Monday, Aug. 17 (all times Eastern):

6 - 10 AM: Keshawn, Jay and Zubin

This is the morning show replacing Golic & Wingo, with Keyshawn Johnson (who has a show on ESPN LA) and Jay Williams (he’s everywhere on ESPN as an NBA analyst). They’ll be joined by SportsCenter anchor Zubin Mehenti.

10 AM - Noon: The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz

As many people have pointed out, the popular show runs from 10 AM to 1 PM these days, but it’s losing an hour, something that fans — including TV creator/producer/writer Mike Schur — criticized.

That makes room for …

Noon - 2 PM: The Mike Greenberg Show

Greeny returns to the airwaves years after the end of Mike & Mike, and he’ll continue to host Get Up in the mornings.

2 - 4 PM: The Max Kellerman Show

The First Take personality has hosted shows in the past in both Los Angeles and New York, but now he gets a national show for the Worldwide Leader.

4 - 7 PM: Chiney and Golic Jr.

WNBA star Chiney Ogwumike pairs with Mike Golic Jr. — Mike Sr.’s son — in a really great mix of two terrific, rising talents.

7 - 9 PM: Spain and Fitz

Sarah Spain and Jason Fitz already had Spain and Fitz, a show that ended in 2019, so it’s a known quantity with quality.

9 PM - 1 AM: Freddie and Fitzsimmons

Freddie Coleman and Ian Fitzsimmons continue their same night show they’ve had.
