Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are in Washington today needing a win to improve to .500 on the season… and so far it’s not going well for them at all.
UPDATE: Things got a lot better for Mahomes (397 yards, 2 TDs) and the Chiefs as they went on to win the game, 31-13.
Mahomes had a miserable first half against a bad Washington defense, throwing two interceptions and no touchdowns. He went into the break with a QB rating of 53.2, which isn’t good at all.
His first interception came off a ball that went through Tyreek Hill’s hands inside the 10 yard line. It was a very catchable pass that Hill would normally make without a problem.
Mahomes’ second INT, however, was the ugliest of his career as the tried to make something happen when it wasn’t there and it didn’t work out for him this time:

Yeah, he should have taken the sack there. I have to think his mom would agree with that. She wasn’t happy with the first INT:

Fans were rightfully baffled by that second INT.
Patrick Mahomes is not a pro bowl QB in 2021. Least not so far. No way you cite him before Josh, Lamar, and Justin. Just crazy to me. Still the best we got, but he is being dragged down into the Muck that is the Chiefs this year… What in the entire hell?
