NFL fans crushed Carson Wentz after his nonsensical interception handed the Titans a TD

I don’t know how he does it, but Carson Wentz always finds a way to outdo himself with awful turnovers. Just when you think he just had the worst play of his career, he’ll come back with a mistake two weeks later that makes you say, “OK, that’s the worst play Wentz has ever had.”

Well, it happened again on Sunday.

With the Colts tied with the Titans late in the fourth quarter and just outside their own end zone, Wentz found himself staring down multiple Titans pass rushers on a slow-developing play. Wentz knew he couldn’t take a sack in his own end zone, so in desperation, he sort of threw the ball up and hoped for the best.

That plan went just about as poorly as it could have gone.

Here's the video

Wentz floated a pass up with his left hand (!!!) to nobody around the line of scrimmage, and the Titans’ Elijah Molden cashed in on the easiest interception for a touchdown he’ll ever have. At the time, it looked like that Wentz had almost literally thrown the game away.

The Titans, though, would commit a pass interference in the end zone on the ensuing drive and set the Colts up to force overtime.

Still, fans were not kind to Wentz after that terrible, no-good, awful interception.

This was how Twitter reacted

And despite that interception, the Colts went to overtime, but the Titans would win off another back-breaking Wentz pick. That’s the Carson Wentz experience in a nutshell.
