14 women’s hoops stars fighting for a Paris Olympics spot on the Team USA roster, including 1 surprise

Team USA Basketball continues to fine-tune the roster for the Women’s Olympic Team, which will attend the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics. The latest roster reveal for July’s Olympic games includes 14 women’s hoops stars, including one surprise plot twist.

After several exhibition games, training camps in Atlanta and New York and an Olympic Qualifying tournament, Team USA Basketball is getting closer to who will represent the United States in Paris. The coaching staff has invited 14 players to attend a training camp on April 3-5 in Cleveland, Ohio. The camp roster includes 13 current WNBA hoopers and one college hooper: Caitlin Clark.

Clark is tentatively scheduled to attend training camp, pending Iowa’s progress in the NCAA tournament. Additionally, Duke women’s basketball head coach Kara Lawson is also penciled in to serve as an assistant head coach, pending Duke’s progress in the NCAA tournament.
