The 2023 Open Championship returns to Royal Liverpool Golf Course in Hoylake for the first time since 2014 and carrying a heavy legacy.
Some of the golf’s biggest stars won The Open at this course, including Tiger Woods, Fred Daly, Bobby Jones, Walter Hagen and J.H. Taylor. Rory McIlroy won his first and only Open Championship at Royal Liverpool in 2014. After winning the Scottish Open last weekend, he arrives in England as the odds on favorite (+700) to emerge victorious again and become the 28th golfer to win the title twice.
