There are few eras in sports betting that stand above others, like Tom Brady and Bill Belichick’s run with the New England Patriots. In college football, the standard of excellence has been Nick Saban at Alabama.
According to Chris Low’s report on Wednesday, Saban is retiring.
While most will recognize Saban’s remarkable seven national championships (six at Alabama), he has compiled some other extremely impressive gambling statistics that may never be topped.
Here are a few worth remembering as one of the greatest coaches of all time calls it a career. There will never be another one like Nick Saban.

From 2015 to 2021, Alabama was favored in a record 92 consecutive games. The streak started after the Crimson Tide were one-point underdogs at Georgia on Oct. 3, 2015 and continued all the way to the 2021 SEC championship game — where Alabama was a six-point ‘dog to Georgia.
The streak is longest since the 1978 FBS/FCS split, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

Nick Saban coached at Alabama for 17 seasons and was an underdog in 13 total games. That’s a ridiculously low number that may never be beaten. Since 2010, Alabama was only an underdog five times — including in Saban’s final two games against Georgia and Michigan.
