Twitter has mixed reaction to Urban Meyer retirement announcement

A rocky season for Urban Meyer will end with him retiring.

He’s dealt with health problems and a scandal involving former coach Zach Smith, in which Meyer denied he knew about allegations about an incident involving Smith’s now-ex-wife. An Ohio State investigation eventually led to Meyer being suspended for three games.

Meyer will coach his final game in the Rose Bowl against Washington on Jan. 1.
