Week 7 of the 2023 NFL season is nearly over, with one more game to go on Monday night.
And if you play fantasy football, you’re already planning ahead with waivers after a busy slate of games.
That’s what we’re here for, a roundup of some of the players you could be targeting ahead of Week 8.
Some of the names below might be taken already, but if not, there are a bunch of dudes who could change your fantasy fortunes this season. Let’s run through them, in no particular order, and we’ll update this after the San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings play on Monday Night Football.

Fantasy football is so fickle sometimes, isn’t it? Zach Evans was a hot name on the waiver wires last week, expected to play a lot with Kyren Williams injured. But then, this guy — who had his ups and downs in his Rams career — comes off the practice squad and carries the ball 18 times for 61 yards and a touchdown. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

It’s Henderson > Freeman for now, but he did end up with 66 yards on 12 carries in Week 7.

I’ll fully admit I said he was drop-worthy after last week’s dud, but he got a lot more work this week and a few catches, too.

“If only there was a path to more playing time … ” we all said. Well, there it was on Sunday, and he delivered with seven targets, with four of those turning into 63 yards and a score. He could be good if he’s still out there on waivers thanks to managers who gave up on him.

Undertaker rising from the mat dot gif, right? Some quieter weeks then led to Bourne getting 10 catches two weeks ago. This time? Six catches and a tuddy. Maybe the Patriots’ offense is better now?

It would be mind-boggling to me if he isn’t already rostered in your league, because the signs were there three weeks ago that he and Gardner Minshew had chemistry. But go get him if he’s available.

Did we finally see the breakout we’ve been waiting for from the rookie tight end? Eight catches for 75 yards will definitely make you add him speculatively.
