He couldn’t even make it two months.
When Tom Brady announced he was retiring from football back in early February, there was a lot of shock and skepticism across the sports world. Brady was calling it quits right after a career year and seemingly had plenty left in the tank at 44 years old.
But even as the first few weeks of his retirement went by, there was speculation that Brady was wavering on his decision. He himself even admitted that there was a possibility he’d change his mind once the season approached because, well, he didn’t know how he would feel. It was all new to him.
He didn’t even need to wait until training camp. Brady interrupted everyone’s Selection Sunday to drop some major news on the sports world: He’s back!
These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG pic.twitter.com/U0yhRKVKVm

He’s really coming back. And as you might have expected, NFL fans had plenty of thoughts.
