From the moment an NFL prospect hears his name called on during this week’s draft, the campaign for 2025 Rookie of the Year is officially on.
Even before coming off the board, USC quarterback Caleb Williams was the favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year with +250 odds at DraftKings Sportsbook while Alabama linebacker Dallas Turner held the best odds for Defensive Rookie of the Year at +700.
These lines are sure to move throughout the draft as talented players fall and others find themselves getting selected by teams that set them up for immediate success.
It’s also worth remembering that just because a player goes early does not even remotely mean they’ll have a case for Rookie of the Year. Don’t forget: the teams are picking this high because they are awful and it takes more than one draft pick to turn things around.
Keep in mind: Over the last decade, the No. 1 overall pick has been named OROY just once (Kyler Murray in 2019).
