LeBron James and J.J. Redick talking about court mapping on their new NBA podcast is outstanding

The new NBA podcast Mind the Game with LeBron James and JJ Redick is already proving why it’s a masterclass in helping fans understand the schematics of the game.

Of course, having perhaps the greatest basketball player of all time in James providing his insight into basketball with an excellent NBA veteran-turned-broadcaster in Redick is appealing enough as it is.

However, this segment from a recent episode about the art of court spacing (and why James hates specifically playing the Golden State Warriors) is about as edifying a breakdown of the game as you could possibly ask for.

If you’re a basketball fan and you want to understand more about how the sport is played by the greats, this really is as good a breakdown as you can get in media right now.

Some NSFW language to follow:

We hope James and Redick keep this fascinating project going, as it’s going to help us better understand what we watch on television and how the game is seen through the eyes of two masters of the craft.
