Fading the Chicago White Sox has been a bettor's dream this season

The Chicago White Sox didn’t enter this season with very high expectations, as oddsmaker had their season win total at 61.5 games, the third-lowest in all of baseball ahead of the Oakland Athletics (57.5) and Colorado Rockies (60.5).

But they have exceeded those low expectations so far this season, going 3-18 to start the year (oddly enough, their three wins have come against the Atlanta Braves, Kansas City Royals and Cleveland Guardians).

That has provided an opportunity for bettors to fade the White Sox, and a $100 bettor wagering against Chicago in all 21 games this season would be up $1,209 according to VSiN’s Adam Burke.

While we wouldn’t advise blindly betting against the White Sox in every game, it seems pretty likely that this team will be bad for a long time. Every dog has its day in baseball, but there haven’t been many good days for the White Sox this season. But it is extremely unlikely they’ll continue on this putrid a pace.
