For the second straight year, Iowa’s Caitlin Clark easily won the John R. Wooden Award as the most Outstanding College Basketball Player in the United States alongside Zach Edey.
She also went home from the award ceremony with an extra piece of memorabilia that’ll keep her believing as she prepares to join the Indiana Fever as the No. 1 overall WNBA Draft pick on Monday night.
Jason Sudeikis — who has followed Iowa all season and attended plenty of Hawkeyes games — met Clark at the ceremony in Los Angeles and gave her a personalized AFC Richmond jersey from his Apple TV+ show Ted Lasso.

Technically, Clark’s No. 22 is worn by Ozzie Kukoc on the show, but we can image he won’t be upset to share the number with the NCAA’s all-time scoring leader.
