Caitlin Clark had a hilarious SNL appearance fighting back against Weekend Update women's hoops jokes

Women’s basketball is finally having a well-deserved moment.

South Carolina and Dawn Staley capped off an undefeated season en route to another NCAA title, beating sharp-shooter Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes with incredible viewership. Clark is expected to be the No. 1 pick in the upcoming WNBA draft on Monday night in Brooklyn, so the all-time Division I scoring champion was already in the Big Apple.

While in New York, Clark swung by the Weekend Update desk on Saturday Night Live to add another assist to her stat sheet with some hilarious jokes at the expense of Michael Che. The Weekend Update host has made a lot of jabs at women’s basketball over the years, including a joke at Clark’s expense just before bringing her out.

She was ready for the moment.
