To say it’s been a rough season for the Washington Wizards would be an understatement.
Washington was at the .500 mark at 1-1 after two games, but has gone 8-51 since and owns the NBA’s worst record at 9-52 entering Tuesday night’s games. That’s pretty difficult to do when another team (Detroit) loses a league-record 28 games in a row.
The Wizards (+4.5) fell 127-115 to the Utah Jazz on Monday night, marking their 15th straight loss, despite being up as many as 14 points in the second quarter.
Amazingly, if you had bet $100 on the moneyline of every Washington opponent when the streak started, you’d only be up a little over $1,600 because the Wizards have been double-digit underdogs in 11 of the 15 games.
A truly brutal season of basketball in The District.
