Drake dropped $615K on Francis Ngannou defeating Anthony Joshua and the public is riding with him

Bad news for people who love to fade Drake’s bets. Not only is the rapper riding high after cashing his $1.15 million Super Bowl wager on the Kansas City Chiefs, he’s back with another six figure bet that aligns heavily with public.

Drake posted on Instagram that he placed $615,000 on Francis Ngannou (+240) to defeat Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia on Friday. The bet would payout close to $1.9 million — but take that all with a grain of salt, since Drake placed the wager on crypto betting platform Stake, which sponsors him.

Joshua enters the 10-round bout as a heavy favorite, opening at -500 before moving to -300.

At BetMGM, 77 percent of all bets are on Ngannou as an underdog, accounting for 46 percent of the total handle. So while the majority of bettors are riding with the former UFC star, 53 percent of all money wagered is backing Joshua (27-3, 24 KOs).

Time to find out if the Drake curse is really dead or just resting.
