Mattress Mack has had some big wins in his betting career, but he’s had some big losses too, and lately the College Football Playoff has been a big source of those Ls.
Mack had $1 million riding on Texas to win this year’s playoff, which is no surprise given his Texas roots and loyalty to teams in the state. That loyalty bit him again Monday after the Longhorns lost to Washington in the Sugar Bowl. It marked Mack’s third straight year getting the CFP wrong, including a $3.1 million bet on TCU last season. The year before, he had $6.15 riding on Alabama to beat Georgia.
The three-year losing streak has cost him $10.25 million.

We’ll be sure to keep an eye on who he throws big money on next year, so we can run the other way.
