Le'Veon Bell proved he could jinx Kyrie Irving by betting on the Mavericks

Some bettors actually do have super powers.

Sometimes, no matter how sure of a lock a wager seems, the second one of these bettors decides to place their money on it there is no longer any chance of winning.

Look, I didn’t say it was a good super power.

Le’Veon Bell believes he is one of these bettors — that he could wager on, say, one of the hottest shooters in the NBA and watch them instantly go ice cold.

Bell proved his theory this week after watching Kyrie Irving go off on his last five opponents for an average of 37.4 points per game. As the Dallas Mavericks ventured out to Los Angeles to face the Lakers, Bell promised his followers he could tank the point guard’s night.

So how did Irving do against the Lakers? He scored 12 points on 4-for-16 shooting from the field in 32 minutes while making just one of five three-point attempts.

See? Super powers. They’re real.
