ESPN Bet is already setting download records for sportsbook apps after just 2 days

ESPN Bet seems to be off to a fantastic start after its Tuesday launch.

In the two days since, the ESPN Bet app has set a record for the most downloads of any sports betting app in a two-day span, according to Legal Sports Report’s Sam McQuillan, who cited estimates from Citizens JMP Securities.

If the estimates prove true, it puts PENN Entertainment and ESPN Bet on a great path for success, though the early downloads don’t necessarily project how many customers they’ll actually retain.

Customer loyalty will come down to how much people actually enjoy the app. The BetFTW staff gave our first impressions of the app here, but everyone’s preferences will be different.
